The Township of Tiny Lion’s Club Polar Bear Dip is a great way to start the New Year. Come and experience an adrenaline dive into Georgian Bay’s frigid waters on January 1st. To guarantee your seat, register as soon as possible—it opens at 11:00 am. At noon on the actual date of the plunge, an exhilarating beginning to the year is promised.
In addition to taking on a risky adventure, the $25 entrance fee will benefit the Tiny Township Lions Club and the Lions Foundation of Canada, two deserving charities. Experience the excitement of this endearing local custom with friends and family, whether they’re participating or just watching from the sidelines. Opening at The Gallery at L.E. in January 2024. Beach! In the tri-artist show Where We Live, Ontario artists Wanda Haayen, Judy Scopes, and Karen Bowen are happy to offer a selection of their works.
These seasoned artists depict Canadian landscapes that capture the majesty and drama of our coasts and rural areas, places that hold particular meaning for them. In their exploration of Grey/Bruce and Simcoe Counties, all three pay tribute to historic barns, hillside farms, historic villages, and the waters of Georgian Bay and its headwater rivers.
Judy, Karen, and Wanda use oils or acrylics to paint in a variety of realistic to impressionistic approaches, attempting to portray the atmosphere and light of their home.
On Saturday, January 6, come meet the artists at their open event! Visit The Gallery from 2-4pm to take advantage of the snacks, open bar and stunning artwork.

SLEIGH RIDES @ QUAYLE’S

Join us for a horse-drawn sleigh/trolly ride around our property every Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. beginning on January 7 and continuing through Family Day weekend. The family-friendly journey lasts between fifteen and twenty minutes. Spend each person $15 before taxes. Youngsters under 12 get free. Children need to have an adult accompany them.

ARGENTINIAN TANGO CLASSES (4 WEEKS)

Authentic Argentine Tango instruction given by world-class instructors. Tango social dance, or authentic tango, is performed in Buenos Aires bars and tango clubs. It is different from both the stage tango shows that travel to North America and Europe and the non-traditional ballroom tango. The instructors, Carlos and Alison, are Buenos Aires Tango Championship winners in 2014 and have fifteen years of worldwide teaching and performing experience.

Take in Wye Marsh’s sights and sounds while snowshoeing along our moonlit pathways!
On a wintry night, stroll along the marsh while the moon and stars twinkle. Get cosy beside a fire. Have some hot chocolate or cedar tea. Bring back mementos that will endure a lifetime along with a special Marsh by Moonlight memento.
There is very limited space because we prefer small group sizes for the best chance of seeing wildlife!
Cost: $75.00 per participant. Price includes snowshoe rental, and a small gift to hold as a memory of the night!
Who: Participants aged 12 . Please leave your pets at home for this experience.
